Yixing Teapots have been known for their simple beauty and unique brewing qualities. The Yixing Purpe Clay (紫砂）has the characteristics of fast heat transmission and good heat preservation. It is specifically designed to retain the aroma and flavour of the tea, especially for Puer Tea, Oolong Tea and Green Tea. During each infusion, the clay absorbs the flavour of the tea, developing a protective coating at the bottom of the teapots. In order to preserve this natural protection, the Yixing teapots should only be cleaned by rinsing it with warm water after use.
